What net 30 EOM means

The full amount is due 30 days after the last day of the month the invoice is dated in.

Find the last day of the month the invoice is dated in, then count 30 calendar days from it, weekends included, unless the contract says otherwise.

A worked example

An invoice for 1,000.00 USD dated Nov 2, 2026, on net 30 EOM:

  • It is due Dec 30, 2026: 30 days after Nov 30, 2026, the last day of its month, every calendar day counted.
  • With a late fee of 1.5% a month for each month or part of one, paying 10 days late costs 15.00 USD, and 45 days late 30.00 USD: 1,000.00 × 1.5% × 2 months = 30.00.
