Show a supplier when it will be paid
Send a vendor a link to its own bills: where each one stands, from received to paid, with each payment's transaction on Arc, and never why a bill is held.
Suppliers ask when they will be paid, and someone looks it up and writes back. A payment status link gives one vendor a page of its own: each of its bills with you, where it stands, and what was paid, with each payment's transaction on Arc. It needs no account. It works the same in a workspace on Arc testnet and on Arc mainnet. In a sandbox the page says its payments are simulated, and in shadow mode it shows no bills.
1.Make a link
Open Bills & receivables, stay on the Bills tab and scroll to Supplier payment status.
- Choose the vendor and how long the link works under Link works for: 7, 30 or 90 days. Then choose Make a link.
- Copy the link at once. The page shows it with "Copy it now: it is shown only once." Vestiarion keeps only a fingerprint of it, so it cannot show it again. A link that is lost is replaced by making a new one.
- One link per supplier. Making a new link for a supplier stops the one it had; the page says so. The list under the form shows each supplier with a link, until when it works, and who made it. Stop the link ends it at once.
- Who makes links. Owners and admins. Every other member sees the list and reads "An owner or admin can share a supplier's payment status."
- Vendors only. A link is for a counterparty with the role vendor. A client gets a statement instead, and a contractor follows its payments through its payee link.
- Not in shadow mode. In shadow mode you pay your bills your own way, and Arc testnet only mirrors the ones you agree with, so no link is made: "Turn shadow mode off first." A link made before shows no bills while shadow mode is on.
- Memos are shown. The supplier sees each bill's memo and purchase order, so keep internal notes out of memos.
Send the link to the supplier the way you usually reach them. It starts with https://www.vestiarion.xyz/supplier/.
2.What your supplier sees
The link opens a page titled with your workspace's name and the supplier's, the day it was read, and until when the link works.
- Still to be paid, in each currency apart: USDC and EURC are never added together. With nothing waiting, the page says "Nothing is waiting to be paid."
- Your open bills, each with its reference and purchase order, the amount, the due date, and where it stands:
| On the page | When |
|---|---|
| Received | The bill is in, and the agent has not decided it yet. |
| Being reviewed | The bill is held for a person, flagged, waiting for details, or a person is deciding it in Approvals. |
| To be paid on a day | The agent scheduled it for that day. |
| Payment on its way | The payment has been sent and is not confirmed yet. |
- Paid recently: bills paid in the last 90 days, up to 10, each with See the payment's transaction when the payment was made on Arc. The transaction opens on the public explorer, as every transaction on Arc does.
The page never says why a bill is held: not that the cash is short, not that a control stopped it, not that it was flagged. It shows nothing else of your workspace: no other supplier, no balance, no ledger, no reasoning, and no name or email of anyone at your business. A rejected bill is not shown.
Under the bills, one line says your workspace pays its bills through Vestiarion, with a link to what Vestiarion is.
At its foot, as on every page Vestiarion sends your counterparties, a line says it was sent with Vestiarion and links to Vestiarion's site, tagged with the kind of page only, never your business or theirs.
3.What it does not do
- Read only. The supplier sends nothing from the page, and opening it changes nothing.
- Anyone with the link sees it. The page says so, and asks the supplier to share it only with the people who handle its payments. Stop a link that went too far, and make a new one.
- Offers and requests keep their own links. An early-payment offer or a request for more time still reaches the supplier by its own one-time link.
4.In the ledger
Each link made is signed as supplier_status_shared, with who made it, the supplier, how long it works, and the links it replaced. Stopping one is signed as supplier_status_unshared. A link whose entry cannot be written is stopped at once, so no link works without its record.
